Apartment (145 m² or 1400 sq.ft.) recently restored in the centre of Rome in the Vatican district, just at walking distance from the Vatican museums and in a peaceful location off a main road.

ACCOMMODATION: 1st fl.(2nd by american standard): living/dining room with wooden floor (satellite TV, hi-fi, CD/DVD), plenty of books (in English language) and VHS tapes, kitchen (oven, freezer, dishwasher) with adjoining breakfast room, veranda (washing machine), 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedded room (possibility of adding a simple folding bed, price 140 Euro/week to be paid directly on the spot) , 1 bathroom with bath and WC, 1 small bathroom with shower and WC. The living room and a bedroom are equipped with air conditoners, the other bedrooms have fans (only needed in very hot periods as August). ADSL / Internet line avd Voice over IP functionalities (call for free around the world). Nice furniture. Central heating. Baby-bed available.

LOCATION: The area has every kind of amenity, various shops, metro station that takes you to the historical centre. 22 km from Fiumicino international airport. See the "neighborough" page for more information.

Overall:
The owners were just great and treated us well, which made for a great stay. The apartment is just lovely and well furnished. we had a lot of room and really enjoyed staying there.
Enjoyed Most:
It was in a nice area of town - close to the metro and walking distance to the Vatican. There is a bakery next to the house. We went there every morning and the local restaurants were great.
Unpleasant Surprises:
There was nothing not to like.
Surrounding Area:
The ease of getting around the metro saved us a lot of walking and cab fairs. We ate in local restaurants;, the food was good and the prices were good. You could shop locally and find some good deals.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We just toured downtown Rome historic district and still did not see all we wanted to in the 6 days there.
Tips or Restaurants:
We found everything we needed there.
Directions:
Our driver had some problems finding the street but it only took a phone call and they directed us to the place.
